Course Structure

The MSc in IT for NRM program is built upon four core courses: (1) Simulation Modeling and Expert System, (2) Geographic Information System, (3) Remote Sensing/Image Processing, and (4) Decision Support System (see figure below). Combined with other compulsory and elective courses (see table below), the program is designed to be completed in four semesters. The 1st and 2nd semesters focus on courses. The 3rd and 4th semesters focus on research and publication. Students are advised to take at least one elective subject that is relevant to their background or research topic.


  • 3(2-1) means: 3 is total credits, includes 2 lecture credit (equal to 2 hours of lecture) and 1 practical credit (equal to 3 hours of practicum).
